In times of change and renewal (and that’s what we hope our country Lebanon is going through), it is almost a personal and collective duty to explore all perspectives, embrace new and nontraditional experiences, and celebrate the possibility for renewal. All three acts are pillars in EduStride’s mission. Through EduStride, we have experienced firsthand how our youth are the agents of change we can rely on for a better future in Lebanon.
Since the onset of EduStride, it has been our mission to organize educational and cultural trips around the world to offer young learners unique opportunities to explore new cultures and acquire new skills and mindsets. Our trips to the UK and France have reportedly been a success. New trips to Spain and Greece had been lined up for this summer. However, in view of these times of trial in Lebanon, we and our partners – parents and young people, school administrators and teachers – are “exploring”, “embracing”, and hopefully “celebrating” soon, on a national, rather than international, plane. Our staple school trips to Europe will unfortunately come to a halt this summer 2020 due to the unusual financial and scholastic situation in Lebanon.
For the upcoming months, we will revisit our favorite moments with our favorite people by posting pictures, stories, and blog posts. We always enjoy reconnecting with all members of #edustridefamily, and we hope that, sooner than expected, our Lebanon will stand on its feet and EduStride trips can resume. We will also keep everyone up-to-date with any local educational and cultural programs EduStride will organize.
Finally, we thank all #edustridefamily and friends who have reached out in the past months to share interest or concern. Our partnership and friendship are always priceless.
